About EP Edge® — Knowledge. Access. Humanity.
An editorially independent, physician-led educational and digital platform focused on
cardiac electrophysiology — operated by EP Pulse LLC.
EP Edge was built around three connected principles
- Knowledge
- Electrophysiology does not lack information — the challenge is knowing which
information is reliable, clinically meaningful, and relevant. EP Edge examines study
design, methodology, results, and limitations to move readers from information to
understanding.
- Access
- High-quality knowledge is fragmented across journals, meetings, societies, and
platforms. EP Edge develops evidence reviews, commentary, infographics, podcasts, and
digital tools that reduce friction without sacrificing rigor.
- Humanity
- Behind every tracing, device, and clinical decision are patients and clinicians.
EP Edge treats medical knowledge as information that must ultimately support judgment,
communication, and human authorship and accountability.
Why EP Edge Exists
Electrophysiology is advancing rapidly, yet the information environment remains
fragmented — a study may be published in a journal, presented at a meeting, discussed on
a podcast, and later folded into guidelines, with each channel disconnected from the
rest.
EP Edge exists to connect them: examining what changed, how convincing the evidence is,
what remains uncertain, and what a development may mean for clinical practice and the
future of electrophysiology — without manufacturing consensus or presenting one
interpretation as the voice of the community.
“I created EP Edge to connect rigorous evidence appraisal with accessible education
and the human context in which electrophysiology is practiced.”
— Niraj Sharma, MD FACC FHRS, Founder and Editor, EP Edge®

Founder and Editor — Niraj Sharma, MD FACC FHRS
EP Edge was founded and is edited by Niraj Sharma, MD, a cardiac electrophysiologist,
researcher, medical educator, and digital-content developer. Dr. Sharma directs the
platform's clinical, editorial, and product strategy — identifying topics, evaluating
sources, interpreting evidence, and making final publication decisions.
EP Edge is intentionally founder-led, providing a consistent editorial standard and
clear accountability rather than an anonymous institutional voice.
Mission-Led, Not Sponsor-Led
EP Edge is an editorially independent educational initiative operated by EP Pulse LLC.
Editorial priorities are determined by clinical relevance, scientific importance, and
educational value — not by the commercial interests of advertisers, supporters, or
manufacturers. EP Edge does not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage,
predetermined conclusions, or preferential treatment of any company or product. Its
editorial practices are informed by the transparency and accountability principles of
the ICMJE Recommendations, including human authorship and continuing human
